State of the Art Technology

Digital Camera

At North Orange Family Dentistry, patient centered care is our top priority. Our digital intra-oral camera is one way we are able to involve you in your treatment. By being able to show you what we see, we can partner with you on our journey to optimal dental health.

CEREC

CEREC One-Appointment Crowns Save You Time And Hassle

DO YOU NEED A DENTAL CROWN? Crowns are an integral part of many dental restoration treatments including implants, root canals, or simply covering and strengthening a tooth that's damaged by trauma or decay.

Before Now, Placing A Crown Took At Least Three Steps:
  1. First, you needed an appointment to prepare the tooth, make the impression, and place the temporary crown.
  2. Second, you needed to wait (possibly two weeks) while your permanent crown was milled at a dental lab, then sent back to us.
  3. Third, you needed a SECOND appointment for us to remove the temporary and place your permanent crown.

Now, Our Practice Uses CEREC!

CEREC is amazing 3-D printer technology we have here in our office that allows us to mill your new, custom, perfectly crafted permanent crown during ONE VISIT. No need to take more time off work, no temporary crown, and no chance that you may need to be numbed twice. Awesome, right? Our patients love that they can watch their crown being fabricated from start to finish. They are able to see the design process on the computer, and then they can walk over to watch the computer design being milled into their final crown.

We Use The Latest Technologies To Save YOU Time & Hassle

Here at North Orange Family Dentistry we make it a priority to provide you-our valued patients and friends-with the best experience possible. One of the ways we achieve that is by keeping ourselves on the leading edge.

We Use CERC To Save You Time

I understand that our patients have busy schedules, and the last thing they want to do is make multiple trips to the dental office. By implementing the newest technology into our office we are able to deliver the highest level of care while respecting our patients time. This allows our patients to spend less time in the dental chair and more time with their families.

Let us know if you have any questions about our CEREC technology. And, if you know someone who may be interested in one-visit dental crowns as well, thanks in advance for passing this message along!

Soft Tissue Laser

The latest technological addition at North Orange Family Dentistry is our soft tissue laser. From the simplest gum tissue augmentation to biopsies, we are able to perform soft tissue procedures more efficiently and less invasively. Healing following a laser procedure is much quicker than with more traditional methods. We are excited to implement another piece of dental technology aimed at making your visit as comfortable as possible.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-Rays Are Better For The Earth, AND Better For You

Dental X-Rays are an important part of your oral health care. Among other things, they allow us to detect cavities and decay before they become bigger problems.

However, old-fashioned, analog x-rays are not ideal for our patients, our dental office, OR our environment.

The Hazards of Traditional X-Rays

The development of old film x-rays required hazardous materials. For example:
  • Silver: X-ray fixer has enough silver to warrant a "hazardous waste" label, and can't legally be dumped into the water system.
  • Lead: Lead is a dangerous neurotoxin. Discarded, it sits in the topsoil for years, is absorbed into plants, and enters our food system.
  • Other Dangerous Chemicals: These include Ammonium Thiocyanate and Anhydride, both major irritants to eyes, nose, and respiration.

That's Why We Use Digital X-Rays

First, digital x-rays eliminate the need for those harmful materials. But beyond that, digital x-rays are safer and more convenient for YOU!
  • Digital x-rays cause 70-90% less radiation exposure than traditional x-rays.
  • We get images with higher resolution, which we can zoom in on, enhance, and duplicate.
  • Digital images are instantly available-no need for development. We can just pop them up on the screen right away to discuss them with you, which saves you time.
The #1 benefit of digital x-rays TO PATIENTS is that we are able to take better images with VERY little patient exposure to radiation.

Dr. Bogan Adds:

"We started our practice with digital x-rays for many reasons including the ability to minimize our patient's exposure to radiation, the instant availability of the radiographic image, and to protect the environment from the hazardous chemicals necessary to process the film x-rays."

Our Practice Is All About Looking To The Future

By using the best technology, we're also giving you the best care WITHOUT making the environment pay the price. We're working toward becoming a very eco-friendly practice.

And if you have any questions about our digital x-rays, please ask! We're happy to talk about the steps we're taking in our office to go green.

TVs in Treatment Room

While we love our office and do everything we can to make it a place everyone will love, we also know that the dentist office is not everyone's idea of a relaxing day. So, we have televisions in each of our state-of-the-art treatment rooms to make you feel at home. Pick your favorite channel or television program to help you relax during your time with us. In addition, we are able to utilize these screens during the treatment planning process so that we can walk you through your mouth tooth by tooth. Our TVs are there to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
